round two of some of my favorite links (things) of 2025

gm and welcome to issue 48—thanks for being here. ✈️
Well.
Last week I wrote about growing one thing by way of another, self-discovery as a founder, and how essential it is to just chill the fuck out sometimes.
Today I’m flying back from the city that never sleeps (it’s true, I paid $8 for wifi and am tapping away from exit-row seat 17A rn). The person in the seat next to me is watching A Star is Born—you know, the heart-crushing film with Gaga and Bradley Cooper where fame and substance abuse collide in slow motion before imploding everything.
It’s a good one, and I cannot help but side-eye watch it while singing “Shallow” to myself. Actually, now I’ve just started quiet-crying from my seat because we’re at the part where Gaga is accepting her first Grammy and Cooper is drunk and falls getting onto the stage before peeing himself and going to rehab.
Jesus christ that was brutal. If I side-eye watch the ending I will fucking bawl. So back to this week’s issue of Babe, which is the opposite of brutal and the second installment of “some of my favorite links/things from 2025".” Here we go.

Best links from 2025: part two
The Size of Life — Whoa… this is fucking cool. I found it through Neal.fun (also cool)
Common Side Effects — I think I mentioned this animated series before? One of its producers is Mike Judge, the guy who created Beavis and Butthead, and it’s a pretty brilliant, funny, beautiful, and honest look at magic mushrooms, the pharmaceutical industry, and humans. Highly recommend.
Alvin Ailey — Whether through this link or another, if you don’t yet know Alvin Ailey: please get to know him and his legacy. I remember learning about him in middle school, I think through the dance studio I attended, and getting to see a performance by his dance company in nyc. On this most recent city visit, I also got to take a class at the iconic Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre studios. No matter how you find him, his resonance and his vision will stick with you.
The Interstitium — Do you know about the recently discovered (~2018) part of the human body? The one that was previously invisible, and ignored, by Western scientists? It’s called interstitium and this link leads to a Radiolab episode about it and yes it will blow your fucking mind.
Buena Vista Social Club Tiny Desk Concert — Right now on Broadway there’s a brilliant, glowing-from-the-inside out musical about the history and making of the band Buena Vista Social Club. The opening piece gave me chills for no joke like 30 seconds—the rest unfolded as life force in the form of song and dance you can feel in your bones. Goddamn. Experience a bit of its magic through the cast’s Tiny Desk concert.
Radio Garden — Explore live radio stations worldwide by rotating a 3D globe. Spin to Tokyo, listen to what's playing. Spin to Iceland, same thing. Pure magic.
What is Code? — I'm working my way through this interactive essay and so should you.

btw it snowed in the city(!)
“You, using a pen and paper, can do anything a computer can; you just can't do those things billions of times per second.”
That's issue 48.
Thanks for being here to click on some links I think are worth clicking.
Until next week, with love from 30,000 feet.
xoxo,

PS: Subscribe now if you're into this messy build-in-public energy. Miss the last issue? It’s right here. Also literally none of this is ever advice. I’m sharing what I learn through Babe, and perhaps you’ll learn from my mistakes. Hopefully, maybe, who knows, ily. Also if you’re not already, come hang with Babe on insta, Farcaster, and TBA 🟦.
